Meet Mrs. Howard

Hello!  My name is Nicole Howard, and this will be my 22nd year of teaching.  I have taught 5th grade, 3rd grade, a 1st and 2nd multi-age, and this is my eleventh year with all 2nd graders.  I truly love 2nd grade; such a fun age!

I am originally from Baldwin, WI.  I attended UW-River Falls and graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.  In 2011, I completed my Master's in Literacy from St. Mary's University.  I love teaching all the subject areas, but I especially love reading and writing.  In the primary grades, it is so rewarding to experience students connecting with favorite stories and authors.  I also love to engage students in the writing process of telling their stories or creating fiction adventures.

Outside of school I stay very busy with my husband, Justin, and our two children, Mason and Ellie.  Mason will be a freshman in college and Ellie will be in her junior year of high school.  Outside of teaching and spending time with my family, I also enjoy running and being active, baking, reading, and scrap booking.

I look forward to working with you and your child this year! Please feel free to contact me with any questions!
